BBE CELEBRATES WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION

BBE celebrated Women in Construction Week, March 6-12, to raise awareness of the growing role of women in the construction industry and encourage women to consider a career in construction. With only 10% of the construction industry’s workforce occupied by women, WIC Week aims to celebrate these women and drive conversations to ignite action about increasing representation industry-wide.

BBE is invested in creating equity company-wide and leads the industry with a workforce comprised of 20% women. There's never been a better time to celebrate BBE's Project Executive Sue Eacott Comer, who's been breaking barriers and closing the gender gap in construction for 40+ years! Sue was the very first woman to graduate from Central Connecticut State University with a degree in Industrial Technology - Option of Construction. Sue has served in project management, leadership and executive roles at BBE since 1978, and has made many significant contributions to the AEC community.
