Additionally, our people volunteer in their own communities with BBE's full support
Our outstanding people contribute outstanding results--in construction and in the community.
We believe in going beyond the role of a traditional contractor. For years, BBE has reached out to hire local employees who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to join the construction workforce and build a career. BBE is committed to granting equal employment opportunities to all qualified persons and is dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion as we actively create and engage in meaningful change in our communities, organization and job sites.
Our community also includes our industry and we know the value in supporting it.
BBE was instrumental in forming the Associated General Contractors of Connecticut in 1947 and we are the only company to have had four Presidents since. In 1975, we were founding members of The Construction Institute at the University of Hartford, where, to this day, our employees have strong relationships training and mentoring students. Many of our leaders have also served on multiple building committees, boards of governors, university industry advisory boards and in many trade organizations, all of which help build a stronger construction industry.
