BBE HONORED WITH PLATINUM SAFETY AWARD IN BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

On Thursday, December 1st, BBE was honored with a Platinum Safety Award in Building Construction for overall safety performance - the highest safety honor awarded by the Connecticut Construction Industries Association (CCIA). The award was presented at the CCIA’s Annual Meeting at the Aqua Turf Club.

The Platinum Level Safety award is annually bestowed to a select number of contractors. “We’re extremely honored to be recognized by the industry for our work and safety program. Safety is a hallmark of BBE, so we’re especially proud of this award,” said said Marko Kaar, BBE’s Director of Safety Operations, who believes that achieving an injury-free environment requires a commitment from every individual. “We take a total, philosophical approach to safety that includes consistent and detailed planning, training and analysis. Our success is founded on one key focus – everyone goes home whole.”

The CCIA established the Safety Recognition Awards to encourage safety in construction and to recognize companies that maintain a formal safety and health program or related policies and procedures. In order to be recognized at the Platinum level, recipients must have met or exceeded national safety statistics.
