Fun Facts About Hayden:

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Southington, CT and relocated to central MA in 2016.

When did you decide to pursue a career in construction?

I have always been fortunate to know I wanted to work in construction.  I can remember being in the third grade, and writing down my dream job was to be a ‘builder’.

What You Love About Construction:

For me, what I love about construction is that all projects are an opportunity to provide an improvement for the client and end users – either through renovation, accessibility improvements, or new construction.  I enjoy the challenges that come from taking an idea in a concept level and working to help provide a final solution that meets or exceeds the expectation.

What was your first job?

My first job was snow removal and plowing in the winters, and as a laborer on jobsites in the summers.

Who is your hero?

My hero(s) would have to be my parents – the sacrifices they made for me and my siblings as we were growing up to provide us with opportunities as we got older.  I admire their strong work ethic and how much they impressed upon us the importance of integrity and pride in our work.  My parents did not attend college and as a result, they encouraged us to pursue college and a career we were passionate about.

What is the most useful app (in your opinion)?

The most useful app for me would likely be Spotify.  Having access to new music, artists, playlists, and podcasts at my fingertips and being able to explore new sounds makes the daily commute fly by.

Word to the Wise (advice):

Never be afraid to admit when you don’t know something, it allows others to see that you are still learning.
